Happy Birthday Mya & Brayden

Goodness time fly's by... It seems like just months ago the kids were babies.. Now I have a 7 and 4 year old... Goodness... where does the time go?

This past weekend we celebrated our children with some family and friends. The kids wanted to have a pool party and invite there friends So we had the party at The Historic Powhatan Resort  in Williamsburg,VA    We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. Saturday was the party as well as a soccer game back in Newport News, so needless to say that was a hectic day!    The kids received wonderful gifts and Mya was overly excited about so many.

Here are some pics to share w/ you our Birthday weekend :)

It's May Already!!

Oh wow!! I have been so busy and so much has been going on... I got in a rut for a bit and just wasn't in the mood to blog about what was going on, you know how that is family matters, and  medical issues ... So I am strong and have bought a few boxes of bandaids to help  heal my wounds.. its a work in progress .. But On to happy news :)

Lets see we have tons to talk about Autism Charity Event, March of Dimes, Brayden just turned 4, Soccer, Gymnastics... and Im sure the list will grow!!

  • April was Light it Blue for Autism! My SIL (sister in law)  Kelcey started organizing a Autism Charity Event to take place in New Kent which will take place May 15th. She needed a helping hand so I pitched in to help her gather items for the silent auction -( you can a few of our businesses who donated to this wonderful cause at there personal website) check  them out  Sew Fierce , The Lunch Punch, Soggy Bottom Baby Duds, Jenni G Photography,Easy lunch boxesRachels-Bowtique .  Also gathered a few cakes for the cake walk, as well as organize a chickfila cheesecake fundraiser all for the greater good of collecting money for Autism!  We did awesome at the cheesecake fundraiser, Mike actually sold 12 at work.. that was awesome!! We sold a total of 27 and made a profit of $135 for Autism just on the cheesecakes! YUM!!

Lunch I made Mya for April 1st.. for the 1st day of Autism month!

  • Mya had a school project due.. for 1st grade... It was her market place.  Well the last part of it seeing as she had to make 100 items and we already did that... and some how she sold them all and we needed to make 25 more items so this is what we did to finish marketplace.

  • We had a visit from my dad... it had been a few months so he took 4 days off and came down to hang out.  "Pappy" brought them there own Pappy Easter Baskets...hahah early.. Tons of crafts! We also celebrated my dads bday while he was here :)

Easter......

  • Our second year doing M.O.D - now March for Babies . Our team did fantastic.  Mya and Brayden alone raised $815.00!      Mya's first grade class ( all 4 classes)  donated $450 to her MOD! How amazing is that!  The rest was earned via internet and standing at ACE Hardware on a Saturday asking for donations.

The actual walk took place on May 1st - Braydens Birthday
Our Team

Mya Brayden and Alyssa

  • After the walk we celebrated Braydens birthday by doing what he wanted... A visit to ToysRus, playing at the park, watching Rio and then finishing it with dinner at Red  Robin!!  I was pooped.... asleep by 9:30!  I kid you not!!

In between all of the above Tuesdays are Gymnastics and Thursdays are Soccer followed by soccer games on Saturday

They both seem  to really enjoy what they are doing.  This is Mya's 4th season at soccer and she  gets better and better every time!!
Here's a few captured moments...

I just had to add our craft we did today.. I think it turned out awesome!!!   Its a watering can "jug"

OK I think I summed up everything :)   Are you caught up?
