It's May Already!!

Oh wow!! I have been so busy and so much has been going on... I got in a rut for a bit and just wasn't in the mood to blog about what was going on, you know how that is family matters, and  medical issues ... So I am strong and have bought a few boxes of bandaids to help  heal my wounds.. its a work in progress .. But On to happy news :)

Lets see we have tons to talk about Autism Charity Event, March of Dimes, Brayden just turned 4, Soccer, Gymnastics... and Im sure the list will grow!!

  • April was Light it Blue for Autism! My SIL (sister in law)  Kelcey started organizing a Autism Charity Event to take place in New Kent which will take place May 15th. She needed a helping hand so I pitched in to help her gather items for the silent auction -( you can a few of our businesses who donated to this wonderful cause at there personal website) check  them out  Sew Fierce , The Lunch Punch, Soggy Bottom Baby Duds, Jenni G Photography,Easy lunch boxes, Rachels-Bowtique .  Also gathered a few cakes for the cake walk, as well as organize a chickfila cheesecake fundraiser all for the greater good of collecting money for Autism!  We did awesome at the cheesecake fundraiser, Mike actually sold 12 at work.. that was awesome!! We sold a total of 27 and made a profit of $135 for Autism just on the cheesecakes! YUM!!

Lunch I made Mya for April 1st.. for the 1st day of Autism month!

  • Mya had a school project due.. for 1st grade... It was her market place.  Well the last part of it seeing as she had to make 100 items and we already did that... and some how she sold them all and we needed to make 25 more items so this is what we did to finish marketplace.

  • We had a visit from my dad... it had been a few months so he took 4 days off and came down to hang out.  "Pappy" brought them there own Pappy Easter Baskets...hahah early.. Tons of crafts! We also celebrated my dads bday while he was here :)

Easter......

  • Our second year doing M.O.D - now March for Babies . Our team did fantastic.  Mya and Brayden alone raised $815.00!      Mya's first grade class ( all 4 classes)  donated $450 to her MOD! How amazing is that!  The rest was earned via internet and standing at ACE Hardware on a Saturday asking for donations.

The actual walk took place on May 1st - Braydens Birthday
Our Team

Mya Brayden and Alyssa

  • After the walk we celebrated Braydens birthday by doing what he wanted... A visit to ToysRus, playing at the park, watching Rio and then finishing it with dinner at Red  Robin!!  I was pooped.... asleep by 9:30!  I kid you not!!

In between all of the above Tuesdays are Gymnastics and Thursdays are Soccer followed by soccer games on Saturday

They both seem  to really enjoy what they are doing.  This is Mya's 4th season at soccer and she  gets better and better every time!!
Here's a few captured moments...

I just had to add our craft we did today.. I think it turned out awesome!!!   Its a watering can "jug"

OK I think I summed up everything :)   Are you caught up?

Hope everyone has a great Valentines w/ there loved ones!!

We also did Valentines Gifts see my posts here where we really used a "muffin tin":

Valentines Crayons & Teacher Gift

I have 2 gifts to share :)
So, Mya's school doesn't allow for candy to be passed out for Valentines Day...so this year we decided to do heart shaped crayons for Mya's class.
I got 2 silicone heart ice trays @ Target . We recycled our crayons - and cut the paper off - broke them into small pieces so they would fit nicely in the molds/
Preheated the oven to 225°F ... Stuck the trays on to a cookie sheet so we didn't have any spills and it would be easier to put in the oven.
We baked the "new" crayons for about 8 mins until they were melted, then added more crayons to it to fill it to the top and baked again another 5 mins.. (or until completely melted)
Cool for about 20 mins or so... and just pop them out of the silicone.

We then gathered our other materials so we could finish the final project
  • Scissors & Hole Puncher
  • Colored Paper
  • 24 Tulle Bags
  • Marker
" You make my world colorful"  Love Mya  - Each kid will receive 2 crayons

Now on to the next Gift for Mya's........
I really liked how this turned out... but I would have loved to have a little more detail... maybe next time..

Supplies...
  • Heart shaped Picks
  • Flowers
  • Pencils I purchased 72 ct @ Walmart.. and I used about 50
  • Rubber Bands

Finished project:

I placed the pencils around  the pot  and held it together w/ rubberbands that way Mya's teacher can still use the pencils once the flowers die

Pita Bite Pizza

Pita Bite Pizza

I found these yummy Pita Bites w/ Sea Salt @ Sams Club! I have tried it w/ cream cheese and Strawberry Rhubarb spread from Tastefully Simple - delicious! I have tried it many ways but this.. was a huge hit in my house by all!

I preheated the oven to 325°F -  Added Pizza sauce, Mozzarella cheese and sliced pepperoni - and I baked it until the cheese melted.. I would say 6-8 mins... Oh my goodness... talk about your tastebuds being overly excited ..haha  They were  thanking me :)

The kids really enjoyed there lunch...that day

In case you need a visual on the box of Pita Bites so it's easier ( I know visuals are always better)

Enjoy!!

If anyone tried something different please share!

Kaiden is an amazing little boy. He has come along way within the last year.. He speaks words but still signs and he is incredibly smart when it comes to the computer and spelling, Hey I think he probably spells better than I do and he's going on 4 :)

Please pass this info along my blogger friends...  And keep the Autism Awareness going.

Starting March 1st for the Spring/Summer Catalog line Scentsy will have this warmer available for $35 .
100% of the proceeds will go to Autism Speaks

After March 1st  you can go to My Website and look at Open Parties.. I will set up a "Autism Speaks" Party- because I would love to keep track of how many warmers get sold :)

2011 Bento!

 2011 Bento Lunch..    MTM...

We have a delicious Fugi Apple sliced and ready to go scored w/ the #2... We have 2 PB&J's "0" and 2 single pressed freshly made fudge brownies to act as my "11"

Mya's new hair cut and she's ready to show it off on her 1st day back to school for 2011~

Wow it's 2011 already!!

My last post was on Nov 1st  I apologize.. So much has happened, we have been so busy once again.  Let's see where I left off.  My neighbor T was in a car accident right at the end of October. She ended up causing the accident due to a stroke.  The stroke was caused by the cancer in her brain that we didn't know about.  She is like family to us. We have known her for 6 years. And for those 6 years she has grown to love my kids as they were her own grandkids.  It has been very hard , she doesnt have any family here, her sister is in Arkansas and she does what she can from there and I try to do what I can from here to help in any way I can. T doesnt really understand what's going on. They gave her a life expectancy of 2 months. I'm not sure if that was before chemo? But she is doing daily chemo treatments. She has been living at an assisted living home, but is now currently back in the hospital. We just pray she gets better.. My kids like to say grace at there meals now, and it's usually funny how Brayden does it.  He thanks god for his green beans, noodles and chicken (whatever is for dinner) and then he will sometimes add and keep T in mind.  I love my boy! He's so thoughtful!

Moving on.. I do have 2 months to cover :)

November was a busy month for me and my Scentsy business! It was great .. I sure hope it keeps up!
November also ended Fall Soccer so we had yet another trophy!

In Novemeber Mya had a project due in 1st grade ... we had to do a time line of her 6 years :)  I came up with a cleaver but corny way to represent it .. We made a "clock" to show the Time of 6 years... each year had its on certain color for the kids to easily grasp.. I think it came out nice!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.. spent with just us 4... it was relaxing and a much needed break from chaos :)

On to December...

Every 1st Friday of December they have the Holly Dazzle Grand Illumination in the City Center.  It's a HUGE beautiful display of fireworks, arts& crafts for the kids, food vendors everywhere..
We always go to see the Lights at Newport News Park and now we have made a tradition of Christmas Town at Busch Gardens now that this is there 2nd year doing it!  On Christmas Eve we got together with my nephews and niece to make gingerbread houses... I think next year we can stick to decorating cookies !!  Also.. Mya lost her two front teeth... How exciting was it to be able to sing her "THE SONG"   hahah  and I found the perfect ..Hallmark Ornament

 All The Moeller's minus Kaiden
 My Family!
Hunter was filling Mya's teeth in :)

Now on to Christmas Day!

I almost for got...  The lunch I made them~

Hubby did amazing this year for me!!  I have been really wanting a nice new camera.. I mean NICE camera! He got me a Canon Rebel T2i...  It's 18.0 Megapixel also has an advanced HD Movie mode for gorgeous Full HD movies. Able to capture up to 3.7 frames per second, it's ready to go the minute it's picked up. I love it!! Also he got me a Pandora Bracelet!  Mya picked out the giraffe charm because I love them! (so does she) and Mike picked out the glass charm!   I cant wait to get more!!

 Our Winter Wonderland... 13 inches!

My Bracelet...

I think that pretty much SUMS up some stuff :)

2011.. Here we come... Lets hope for a healthy year.  My 1st day wasn't so healthy I ended up at th ER because I literally couldn't breathe.  So scary!!  I couldnt talk, I could barely gasp for air... again so scary!! Today I feel better, other than some muscle spasms I keep feeling in my back... but lets hope thats the worse for 2011~
